Cashel Crusader Long Nose Fly Mask without Ears
Product Description
Features a form-fitting cap made of soft micro mesh and a patented forelock hole that keeps hair out of the eyes and prevents forelock damage. Unique double dart around eye area keeps mesh away from temples, eyes and eyelashes. Soft vinyl coated polyester mesh blocks 70% of sun's damaging UV rays and protects the sensitive soft tissues of the eyes and forehead. Hook and loop closures. Machine wash, line dry. Grey mesh with grey trim.
Cashel Crusader Fly Masks are available in two lengths - Standard Nose style and a Long Nose style which gives extended protection down to the nostrils, with or without ears.

Pretty durable, very effective.

We buy a new one every 2-3 years for our pink faced paint, who gets sunburn and lives in a very rough herd. We do mend it, but it takes a few years to catastrophically destroy them. They really help with the sunburn.

It seems to hold up decently well, though my horse was never known for destroying fly masks... I initially got the long nose because my horse has a sensitive nose and hates the smell of sunscreen. The nose isn't quite long enough to completely eradicate the need for sunscreen, but it does help a little bit and I can leave off the sunscreen when the sun's not too bad. Definitely a product I endorse.
