Designed to be used with a weymouth bit on a double bridle. The bradoon is slightly thinner and lighter than a normal snaffle to allow room in the mouth for two bits. Works in the same way as a snaffle, placing pressure on the lips, tongue, and the bars of the mouth. A mobile bit which discourages fixing and leaning on the forehand. The German silver increases salivation and acceptance of the bit.
